महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-36, verse-11

शतं वै यस्तु काम्बोजान्ब्राह्मणेभ्यः प्रयच्छति ।
नियतेभ्यो महीपाल स च पापात्प्रमुच्यते ॥११॥
11. śataṁ vai yastu kāmbojānbrāhmaṇebhyaḥ prayacchati ,
niyatebhyo mahīpāla sa ca pāpātpramucyate.
11. śatam vai yaḥ tu kāmbojān brāhmaṇebhyaḥ prayacchati
niyatebhyaḥ mahīpāla saḥ ca pāpāt pramucyate
11. mahīpāla yaḥ tu vai śatam kāmbojān niyatebhyaḥ
brāhmaṇebhyaḥ prayacchati saḥ ca pāpāt pramucyate
11. O King, one who donates a hundred Kamboja horses to disciplined Brahmins is indeed liberated from sin (pāpa).
