महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-36, verse-25

निवेश्यं तु भवेत्तेन सदा तारयिता पितॄन् ।
न तु स्त्रिया भवेद्दोषो न तु सा तेन लिप्यते ॥२५॥
25. niveśyaṁ tu bhavettena sadā tārayitā pitṝn ,
na tu striyā bhaveddoṣo na tu sā tena lipyate.

tu striyā bhavet doṣaḥ na tu sā tena lipyate
25. tena sadā niveśyam bhavet,
pitṝn tārayitā tu striyā doṣaḥ na bhavet,

25. A duty should always be fulfilled by him, for he is the one who ensures the liberation (mokṣa) of his ancestors. However, no fault is incurred by a woman, nor is she defiled by it.
