महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-1, verse-27

पृथाया न कृतः कामस्तेन चापि महात्मना ।
अतिपश्चादिदं मातर्यवोचदिति नः श्रुतम् ॥२७॥

27. pṛthāyā na kṛtaḥ kāmastena cāpi mahātmanā ,
atipaścādidaṁ mātaryavocaditi naḥ śrutam.

27. Pṛthā's wish was not fulfilled by that great-souled one (mahātman). 'This (was said) too late, Mother,' he uttered—thus we have heard.
