महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-93, verse-9

अनुग्रहार्थं जगतः सर्वकामदुघां वराम् ।
तां लेभे गां तु धर्मात्मा होमधेनुं स वारुणिः ॥९॥
9. anugrahārthaṁ jagataḥ sarvakāmadughāṁ varām ,
tāṁ lebhe gāṁ tu dharmātmā homadhenuṁ sa vāruṇiḥ.
9. anugrahārtham jagataḥ sarvakāmadughām varām tām
lebhe gām tu dharmātmā homadhenum saḥ vāruṇiḥ
9. For the purpose of blessing the world, the righteous Vāruṇi (Vasiṣṭha) obtained that excellent cow, which grants all desires and is suitable for yagya.
