प्रसादयन्तस्तमृषिं वसवः पार्थिवर्षभ ।
न लेभिरे च तस्मात्ते प्रसादमृषिसत्तमात् ।
आपवात्पुरुषव्याघ्र सर्वधर्मविशारदात् ॥३५॥

35. O best of kings, O tiger among men, the Vasus, despite trying to appease that sage, Apava — who was the best of sages and adept in all dharma — did not obtain his favor.
