ददावथ विषं पापो भीमाय धृतराष्ट्रजः ।
जरयामास तद्वीरः सहान्नेन वृकोदरः ॥९॥

9. dadāvatha viṣaṁ pāpo bhīmāya dhṛtarāṣṭrajaḥ ,
jarayāmāsa tadvīraḥ sahānnena vṛkodaraḥ.

9. dadau atha viṣam pāpaḥ bhīmāya dhṛtarāṣṭra-jaḥ
jarayāmāsa tat vīraḥ saha-annena vṛkodaraḥ

9. Then, the wicked son of Dhritarashtra gave poison to Bhima. The heroic Vṛkodara, however, digested that poison along with his food.

9. אז נתן בן דְהְרְטַרָאשְׁטְרַה החוטא רעל לבְּהִימַה, אך הגיבור וְרְקוֹדַרַה עיכל אותו יחד עם האוכל.
