महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-55, verse-29

दक्षिणां सहदेवस्तु विजिग्ये परवीरहा ।
एवं चक्रुरिमां सर्वे वशे कृत्स्नां वसुंधराम् ॥२९॥
29. dakṣiṇāṁ sahadevastu vijigye paravīrahā ,
evaṁ cakrurimāṁ sarve vaśe kṛtsnāṁ vasuṁdharām.
29. dakṣiṇām sahadevaḥ tu vijigye paravīrahā evam
cakruḥ imām sarve vaśe kṛtsnām vasuṃdharām
29. Sahadeva, the slayer of hostile heroes, conquered the southern direction. Thus, all of them brought this entire earth under their control.
