महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-55, verse-12

आशीविषैः कृष्णसर्पैः सुप्तं चैनमदंशयत् ।
सर्वेष्वेवाङ्गदेशेषु न ममार च शत्रुहा ॥१२॥
12. āśīviṣaiḥ kṛṣṇasarpaiḥ suptaṁ cainamadaṁśayat ,
sarveṣvevāṅgadeśeṣu na mamāra ca śatruhā.

12. And they caused poisonous black snakes to bite him while he was sleeping, in all parts of his body; yet, the slayer of enemies did not die.
