अपश्यदजितः संख्ये मुनिं प्रतिमुखागतम् ।
शक्तिं नाम महाभागं वसिष्ठकुलनन्दनम् ।

4. apaśyadajitaḥ saṁkhye muniṁ pratimukhāgatam ,

jyeṣṭhaṁ putraśatātputraṁ vasiṣṭhasya mahātmanaḥ.

saw, unconquered in battle, a sage coming towards him on the path. This highly fortunate sage was named Shakti (śakti), the delight of Vasishtha's family, and the eldest son among the hundred sons of the noble-minded Vasishtha.
