महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-165, verse-41

दृष्ट्वा तन्महदाश्चर्यं ब्रह्मतेजोभवं तदा ।
विश्वामित्रः क्षत्रभावान्निर्विण्णो वाक्यमब्रवीत् ॥४१॥
41. dṛṣṭvā tanmahadāścaryaṁ brahmatejobhavaṁ tadā ,
viśvāmitraḥ kṣatrabhāvānnirviṇṇo vākyamabravīt.
41. dṛṣṭvā tat mahat āścaryam brahmatejobhavam tadā
viśvāmitraḥ kṣatrabhāvāt nirviṇṇaḥ vākyam abravīt
41. Then, having witnessed that great marvel, which was born from the spiritual power (brahmatejas) of a Brahmin, Viśvāmitra, disheartened by his warrior (kṣatra) status, spoke these words.
