वसिष्ठ उवाच ।
क्षत्रियाणां बलं तेजो ब्राह्मणानां क्षमा बलम् ।
क्षमा मां भजते तस्माद्गम्यतां यदि रोचते ॥२८॥
क्षत्रियाणां बलं तेजो ब्राह्मणानां क्षमा बलम् ।
क्षमा मां भजते तस्माद्गम्यतां यदि रोचते ॥२८॥
28. vasiṣṭha uvāca ,
kṣatriyāṇāṁ balaṁ tejo brāhmaṇānāṁ kṣamā balam ,
kṣamā māṁ bhajate tasmādgamyatāṁ yadi rocate.

Vasiṣṭha said: "The strength of Kṣatriyas is valor, but the strength of Brāhmaṇas is forgiveness. Forgiveness (kṣamā) serves me; therefore, you may leave if you wish."
