वसिष्ठ उवाच ।
न त्वां त्यजामि कल्याणि स्थीयतां यदि शक्यते ।
दृढेन दाम्ना बद्ध्वैष वत्सस्ते ह्रियते बलात् ॥३०॥

30. vasiṣṭha uvāca ,
na tvāṁ tyajāmi kalyāṇi sthīyatāṁ yadi śakyate ,
dṛḍhena dāmnā baddhvaiṣa vatsaste hriyate balāt.

Vasiṣṭha said: "O auspicious one, I am not abandoning you. Remain here if you are able. However, this calf of yours is being led away by force, bound with a strong rope."
