महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-13, verse-6

सूत उवाच ।
इतिहासमिमं वृद्धाः पुराणं परिचक्षते ।
कृष्णद्वैपायनप्रोक्तं नैमिषारण्यवासिनः ॥६॥
6. sūta uvāca ,
itihāsamimaṁ vṛddhāḥ purāṇaṁ paricakṣate ,
kṛṣṇadvaipāyanaproktaṁ naimiṣāraṇyavāsinaḥ.

kṛṣṇadvaipāyanaproktam naimiṣāraṇyavāsinaḥ
6. Sūta said: The elders living in Naimiṣāraṇya refer to this ancient history, narrated by Kṛṣṇa Dvaipāyana, as a Purāṇa.
