सूत उवाच ।
मात्रा हि भुजगाः शप्ताः पूर्वं ब्रह्मविदां वर ।
जनमेजयस्य वो यज्ञे धक्ष्यत्यनिलसारथिः ॥३५॥

mātrā hi bhujagāḥ śaptāḥ pūrvaṁ brahmavidāṁ vara ,
janamejayasya vo yajñe dhakṣyatyanilasārathiḥ.

Sūta said: "Indeed, the serpents were cursed by their mother previously, O best among those who know Brahman. The fire-god (whose charioteer is wind) will burn you in Janamejaya's sacrifice."
