21. na hi dharmaphalaistāta na tapobhiḥ susaṁcitaiḥ ,
tāṁ gatiṁ prāpnuvantīha putriṇo yāṁ vrajanti ha.

O dear child, indeed, neither through the fruits of virtuous deeds nor through well-accumulated austerities do people attain that state which those who have sons eventually reach.
