महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-13, verse-29

सूत उवाच ।
ततो निवेशाय तदा स विप्रः संशितव्रतः ।
महीं चचार दारार्थी न च दारानविन्दत ॥२९॥
29. sūta uvāca ,
tato niveśāya tadā sa vipraḥ saṁśitavrataḥ ,
mahīṁ cacāra dārārthī na ca dārānavindata.

29. Sūta said: Then, that brahmin, firm in his vows, wandered the earth at that time, seeking a wife for settling down. But he did not find one.
