महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-13, verse-23

जरत्कारुरुवाच ।
न दारान्वै करिष्यामि सदा मे भावितं मनः ।
भवतां तु हितार्थाय करिष्ये दारसंग्रहम् ॥२३॥
23. jaratkāruruvāca ,
na dārānvai kariṣyāmi sadā me bhāvitaṁ manaḥ ,
bhavatāṁ tu hitārthāya kariṣye dārasaṁgraham.
23. jaratkāruḥ uvāca na dārān vai kariṣyāmi sadā me bhāvitam
manaḥ bhavatām tu hitārthāya kariṣye dārasaṁgraham
23. Jaratkāru said, "Indeed, I will not take wives; my mind has always been resolved (on celibacy). But for your welfare, I will undertake marriage."
