योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-168, verse-6

भित्तिमात्रं यथा चित्रजगदालोकमात्रकम् ।
चिति चिद्व्योममात्रात्म तथैवाभासमात्रकम् ॥ ६ ॥

bhittimātraṃ yathā citrajagadālokamātrakam ,
citi cidvyomamātrātma tathaivābhāsamātrakam 6

6. As a picture is nothing except its canvas, so the world which is no more than a painting, is drawn on the substratum of the intellect; and this is a vacuous substance, with the lustre of the world in it.
