व्योम्नीन्दोरिवसौम्यवारिणिचिरं निःशब्दकं सर्पतो हंसस्यांसहताब्जनालवलनानिष्कम्पटङ्कक्षतैः ।
गङ्गावारिवदत्र पुष्करपुटाद्ब्राह्मादिवास्योपरि भ्रष्टा ये जलबिन्दवो जलचरा हृष्टाः पिबन्त्याशु तान् ॥ ४५ ॥

Like the moon in the sky, from the swan gracefully gliding for a long time in calm water, by its unwavering pecks that grasp lotus stalks without disturbing them, here, water drops fall from a lotus petal. These drops, pure like the waters of the Ganges and originating from above Brahma's abode, are quickly and joyfully drunk by the aquatic creatures.
