जन्तोरिवास्य मनसो जलजातिबन्धजीर्णस्य जर्जरदशालहरीभ्रमेण ।

17. asya jantoḥ jalajāti-bandha-jīrṇasya jarjara-daśā-laharī-bhramena manasaḥ iva,
āvarta-vṛtti-valitāni ati-saṃtatāni kamalāni saṅkalayitum kaḥ nāma śaktaḥ
17. Just as it is with the mind of this creature, worn out by its entanglement with aquatic existence, and confused by the turbulent waves of its decaying state, who indeed is capable of counting the innumerable lotuses that are extensively spread out and twisted into a swirling pattern?
