योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-5, verse-4

ये सत्त्वजातयः प्राज्ञास्तथा राजससात्त्विकाः ।
विचारयन्ति ते साधो जगत्पूर्वपरम्पराम् ॥ ४ ॥
ye sattvajātayaḥ prājñāstathā rājasasāttvikāḥ ,
vicārayanti te sādho jagatpūrvaparamparām 4

vicārayanti te sādho jagatpūrvaparampārām

4. O virtuous one, those wise individuals whose nature is *sattva*, and likewise those who possess both *rajas* and *sattva* qualities, they contemplate the world's ancient succession.
