इत्याकर्ण्य पुरा निशाकरकरस्पर्धालुगुच्छस्खलत्पुष्पापूरकृतावगुण्ठनपदस्योक्तं तले तेन मे ।

49. Having heard this, long ago, my father spoke words to me. He spoke at the base of a celestial ocean-tree (Pārijāta tree) – one that had been brought from heaven and replanted in the courtyard – a spot that was veiled by an abundance of falling flowers from clusters rivalling the moonbeams. His speech, potent for the pacification of delusion (saṃmoha), was like a mighty, intoxicating elixir.

49. כששמע זאת אבי אז, בצל עץ הַפָּארִיגָ'אָטָה שכיסה את החצר בפרחים הנושרים כאור הירח, הוא אמר לי דברים שהיו כמו שיקוי פלאים לשיכוך המבוכה והאשליה.
