मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-68, verse-40

बन्धं च सरितां वृक्षांस्तथारोपयते नरः ।
अनुलेपनपुष्पादिभोगभुग्वाभिजायते ॥४०॥
40. bandhaṃ ca saritāṃ vṛkṣāṃstathāropayate naraḥ .
anulepanapuṣpādibhogabhugvābhijāyate.
40. bandham ca saritām vṛkṣān tathā āropayate
naraḥ anulepanapuṣpādibhogabhuk vā abhijāyate
40. A person constructs dams for rivers and also plants trees. Alternatively, such a person is born to enjoy perfumes, flowers, and similar pleasures.
