मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-68, verse-23

तथाविष्टभ्य रत्नानि तिष्ठत्याकुलमानसः ।
न ददाति न वा भुङ्क्ते तद्विनाशभयाकुलः ॥२३॥
23. tathāviṣṭabhya ratnāni tiṣṭhatyākulamānasaḥ .
na dadāti na vā bhuṅkte tadvināśabhayākulaḥ.
23. tathā āviṣṭabhya ratnāni tiṣṭhati ākulamānasaḥ
na dadāti na vā bhuṅkte tad-vināśa-bhaya-ākulaḥ
23. Similarly, having seized his treasures, he remains with an agitated mind. He neither gives them away nor enjoys them, distressed by the fear of their destruction.
