तथाविष्टभ्य रत्नानि तिष्ठत्याकुलमानसः ।
न ददाति न वा भुङ्क्ते तद्विनाशभयाकुलः ॥२३॥

23. tathāviṣṭabhya ratnāni tiṣṭhatyākulamānasaḥ .
na dadāti na vā bhuṅkte tadvināśabhayākulaḥ.

Similarly, having seized his treasures, he remains with an agitated mind. He neither gives them away nor enjoys them, distressed by the fear of their destruction.
