मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-68, verse-26

करोति गायतां वित्तं नृत्यतां च प्रयच्छति ।
बन्दिमागधसूतानां विटानां लास्यपाठिनाम् ॥२६॥
26. karoti gāyatāṃ vittaṃ nṛtyatāṃ ca prayacchati .

26. He provides wealth to singers and also gives it to dancers. This wealth is also bestowed upon bards, panegyrists, chroniclers, rogues, and performers of dance-dramas.
