चार्वधिष्ठानवन्नृत्यं नृत्यमन्यद्विडम्बनम् ॥३६॥

36. guṇarūpavihīnāyāḥ siddhirnāṭyasya nāsti vai .
cārvadhiṣṭhānavannṛtyaṃ nṛtyamanyadviḍambanam.

guṇarūpavihīnāyāḥ siddhiḥ nāṭyasya na asti vai
cāru adhiṣṭhānavat nṛtyam nṛtyam anyat viḍambanam

Indeed, there is no success in dancing for one who is devoid of qualities and beauty. A dance that is properly executed is true dancing; any other dance is merely a mockery.
