महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-7, verse-3

अकल्प्यन्त च मातङ्गाः समनह्यन्त पत्तयः ।
हयानास्तरणोपेतांश्चक्रुरन्ये सहस्रशः ॥३॥
3. akalpyanta ca mātaṅgāḥ samanahyanta pattayaḥ ,
hayānāstaraṇopetāṁścakruranye sahasraśaḥ.

3. And the elephants were arranged, and the foot soldiers equipped themselves. In thousands, others prepared the horses, furnishing them with trappings.
