महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-7, verse-15

संजय उवाच ।
क्षयं मनुष्यदेहानां रथनागाश्वसंक्षयम् ।
शृणु राजन्स्थिरो भूत्वा संग्रामं शंसतो मम ॥१५॥
15. saṁjaya uvāca ,
kṣayaṁ manuṣyadehānāṁ rathanāgāśvasaṁkṣayam ,
śṛṇu rājansthiro bhūtvā saṁgrāmaṁ śaṁsato mama.
15. saṃjayaḥ uvāca kṣayam manuṣyadehānām rathanāgāśvasaṃkṣayam
śṛṇu rājan sthiraḥ bhūtvā saṃgrāmam śaṃsataḥ mama
15. saṃjayaḥ uvāca rājan,
sthiraḥ bhūtvā,
mama śaṃsataḥ saṃgrāmam,
manuṣyadehānām kṣayam,
rathanāgāśvasaṃkṣayam ca śṛṇu
15. Saṃjaya spoke: O King, remaining steady, listen to me as I recount the war's devastation – the destruction of human bodies, and the ruin of chariots, elephants, and horses.
