स देवशत्रूनिव देवराजः किरीटमाली व्यधमत्समन्तात् ।
यथा तमांस्यभ्युदितस्तमोघ्नः पूर्वां प्रतिज्ञां समवाप्य वीरः ॥४९॥

Having fulfilled his earlier vow, that crowned hero (Arjuna) scattered (them) everywhere, just as the king of the gods (Indra) scatters the enemies of the gods, and as the rising sun, the dispeller of darkness, scatters darkness.
