धनंजय शिरश्छिन्धि सैन्धवस्य दुरात्मनः ।
अस्तं महीधरश्रेष्ठं यियासति दिवाकरः ।
शृणुष्वैव च मे वाक्यं जयद्रथवधं प्रति ॥१६॥

16. dhanaṁjaya śiraśchindhi saindhavasya durātmanaḥ ,
astaṁ mahīdharaśreṣṭhaṁ yiyāsati divākaraḥ ,
śṛṇuṣvaiva ca me vākyaṁ jayadrathavadhaṁ prati.

16. Oh Dhanañjaya, cut off the head of that evil-minded Saindhava. The sun is about to set, moving towards the chief mountain. And listen to my words concerning the slaying of Jayadratha.
