महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-121, verse-23

एवमुक्त्वा ततो राज्ये स्थापयित्वा जयद्रथम् ।
वृद्धक्षत्रो वनं यातस्तपश्चेष्टं समास्थितः ॥२३॥
23. evamuktvā tato rājye sthāpayitvā jayadratham ,
vṛddhakṣatro vanaṁ yātastapaśceṣṭaṁ samāsthitaḥ.

23. Having spoken thus, Vṛddhakṣatra then installed Jayadratha in the kingdom. After that, he went to the forest, where he engaged in the practice of asceticism (tapas).
