महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-94, verse-32

मा च दर्पसमाविष्टः क्षेप्सीः कांश्चित्कदाचन ।
अल्पीयांसं विशिष्टं वा तत्ते राजन्परं हितम् ॥३२॥
32. mā ca darpasamāviṣṭaḥ kṣepsīḥ kāṁścitkadācana ,
alpīyāṁsaṁ viśiṣṭaṁ vā tatte rājanparaṁ hitam.

alpīyāṃsaṃ viśiṣṭaṃ vā tat te rājan param hitam
32. O king, never, filled with arrogance, insult anyone, whether they are a lesser person or a superior one. That is your greatest welfare.
