महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-94, verse-20

दम्भोद्भव उवाच ।
बाहुभ्यां मे जिता भूमिर्निहताः सर्वशत्रवः ।
भवद्भ्यां युद्धमाकाङ्क्षन्नुपयातोऽस्मि पर्वतम् ।
आतिथ्यं दीयतामेतत्काङ्क्षितं मे चिरं प्रति ॥२०॥
20. dambhodbhava uvāca ,
bāhubhyāṁ me jitā bhūmirnihatāḥ sarvaśatravaḥ ,
bhavadbhyāṁ yuddhamākāṅkṣannupayāto'smi parvatam ,
ātithyaṁ dīyatāmetatkāṅkṣitaṁ me ciraṁ prati.
20. dambhodbhava uvāca bāhubhyām me jitā bhūmiḥ
nihatāḥ sarvaśatravaḥ bhavadbhyām yuddham
ākaṅkṣan upayātaḥ asmi parvatam ātithyam
dīyatām etat kāṅkṣitam me ciram prati
20. Dambhodbhava said: "By my arms, the earth has been conquered, and all enemies have been slain. Desiring battle with both of you, I have come to this mountain. Grant me this hospitality, which I have long desired."
