महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-4, verse-9

दिष्टद्वारो लभेद्द्वारं न च राजसु विश्वसेत् ।
तदेवासनमन्विच्छेद्यत्र नाभिषजेत्परः ॥९॥
9. diṣṭadvāro labheddvāraṁ na ca rājasu viśvaset ,
tadevāsanamanvicchedyatra nābhiṣajetparaḥ.

tat eva āsanam anvicchet yatra na abhiṣajet paraḥ
9. One should obtain an opportunity as if destined, and one should not trust kings. One should seek out such a seat where another person cannot trouble him.
