महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-4, verse-41

समवेषं न कुर्वीत नात्युच्चैः संनिधौ हसेत् ।
मन्त्रं न बहुधा कुर्यादेवं राज्ञः प्रियो भवेत् ॥४१॥
41. samaveṣaṁ na kurvīta nātyuccaiḥ saṁnidhau haset ,
mantraṁ na bahudhā kuryādevaṁ rājñaḥ priyo bhavet.
41. samaveṣam na kurvīta na atyuccaiḥ saṃnidhau haset
mantram na bahudhā kuryāt evam rājñaḥ priyaḥ bhavet
41. One should not wear attire similar to the king, nor should one laugh very loudly in his presence. One should not disclose secret counsel (mantra) in many different ways. By following these guidelines, one will become dear to the king.
