महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-4, verse-16

यत्नाच्चोपचरेदेनमग्निवद्देववच्च ह ।
अनृतेनोपचीर्णो हि हिंस्यादेनमसंशयम् ॥१६॥
16. yatnāccopacaredenamagnivaddevavacca ha ,
anṛtenopacīrṇo hi hiṁsyādenamasaṁśayam.
16. yatnāt ca upacaret enam agni-vat deva-vat ca
ha anṛtena upacīrṇaḥ hi hiṃsyāt enam asaṃśayam
16. One should serve him diligently, just as one would serve fire and a deity. Indeed, if he is treated with dishonesty, he would undoubtedly inflict harm.
