महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-4, verse-23

न च संदर्शने किंचित्प्रवृद्धमपि संजपेत् ।
अपि ह्येतद्दरिद्राणां व्यलीकस्थानमुत्तमम् ॥२३॥
23. na ca saṁdarśane kiṁcitpravṛddhamapi saṁjapet ,
api hyetaddaridrāṇāṁ vyalīkasthānamuttamam.

| api hi etat daridrāṇām vyalīkasthānam uttamam
23. One should not whisper anything, even if it's a significant matter, when in the presence (of the king or others). For indeed, this is an excellent opportunity for malicious individuals or the envious to cause mischief.
