महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-62, verse-28

तस्य दैवात्प्रसङ्गोऽभूदतिमात्रं स्म देवने ।
द्यूते स निर्जितश्चैव वनमेकोऽभ्युपेयिवान् ॥२८॥
28. tasya daivātprasaṅgo'bhūdatimātraṁ sma devane ,
dyūte sa nirjitaścaiva vanameko'bhyupeyivān.
28. tasya daivāt prasaṅgaḥ abhūt atimātram sma devane
dyūte saḥ nirjitaḥ ca eva vanam ekaḥ abhyupeyivān
28. By destiny, he became excessively addicted to gambling. Having been utterly defeated in the game, he went alone to the forest.
