महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-49, verse-20

निकृत्या निकृतिप्रज्ञा हन्तव्या इति निश्चयः ।
न हि नैकृतिकं हत्वा निकृत्या पापमुच्यते ॥२०॥
20. nikṛtyā nikṛtiprajñā hantavyā iti niścayaḥ ,
na hi naikṛtikaṁ hatvā nikṛtyā pāpamucyate.

na hi naikṛtikam hatvā nikṛtyā pāpam ucyate
20. It is a firm decision that a deceitful person, skilled in trickery, should be slain by deceit. Indeed, by killing such a deceitful individual with deceit, no sin (pāpa) is incurred.
