महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-282, verse-5

भिन्नैश्च परुषैः पादैः सव्रणैः शोणितोक्षितैः ।
कुशकण्टकविद्धाङ्गावुन्मत्ताविव धावतः ॥५॥
5. bhinnaiśca paruṣaiḥ pādaiḥ savraṇaiḥ śoṇitokṣitaiḥ ,
kuśakaṇṭakaviddhāṅgāvunmattāviva dhāvataḥ.

5. With their feet cracked, rough, wounded, and drenched in blood, their bodies pierced by Kuśa grass and thorns, they ran like mad persons.
