महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-135, verse-37

यवक्रीरुवाच ।
नायं शक्यस्त्वया बद्धुं महानोघः कथंचन ।
अशक्याद्विनिवर्तस्व शक्यमर्थं समारभ ॥३७॥
37. yavakrīruvāca ,
nāyaṁ śakyastvayā baddhuṁ mahānoghaḥ kathaṁcana ,
aśakyādvinivartasva śakyamarthaṁ samārabha.
37. yavakrīḥ uvāca na ayam śakyaḥ tvayā baddhum mahān oghaḥ
kathaṃcana aśakyāt vinivartasva śakyam artham samārabhā
37. Yavakri said: 'It is impossible for you to bind this mighty current by any means whatsoever. Desist from what is impossible, and undertake that which is achievable.'
