महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-135, verse-21

कालेन महता वेदाः शक्या गुरुमुखाद्विभो ।
प्राप्तुं तस्मादयं यत्नः परमो मे समास्थितः ॥२१॥
21. kālena mahatā vedāḥ śakyā gurumukhādvibho ,
prāptuṁ tasmādayaṁ yatnaḥ paramo me samāsthitaḥ.

prāptum tasmāt ayam yatnaḥ paramaḥ me samāsthitaḥ
21. O Lord, the Vedas can only be obtained from a teacher's mouth after a long period of time. Therefore, I have undertaken this supreme effort.
