महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-135, verse-2

अलक्ष्म्या किल संयुक्तो वृत्रं हत्वा शचीपतिः ।
आप्लुतः सर्वपापेभ्यः समङ्गायां व्यमुच्यत ॥२॥
2. alakṣmyā kila saṁyukto vṛtraṁ hatvā śacīpatiḥ ,
āplutaḥ sarvapāpebhyaḥ samaṅgāyāṁ vyamucyata.

2. Indeed, after killing Vṛtra, the husband of Śacī (Indra), being afflicted by ill-fortune, was purified from all sins by bathing in the Samangā river.
