महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-135, verse-25

तं तथा तप्यमानं तु तपस्तीव्रं महामुनिम् ।
उपेत्य बलभिद्देवो वारयामास वै पुनः ॥२५॥

25. Approaching that great sage who was thus performing intense austerity (tapas), the god Indra (Balabhit) again tried to restrain him.
