महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-135, verse-33

वालुकामुष्टिमनिशं भागीरथ्यां व्यसर्जयत् ।
सेतुमभ्यारभच्छक्रो यवक्रीतं निदर्शयन् ॥३३॥
33. vālukāmuṣṭimaniśaṁ bhāgīrathyāṁ vyasarjayat ,
setumabhyārabhacchakro yavakrītaṁ nidarśayan.

setum abhyārabhāt śakraḥ yavakrītām nidarśayan
33. Indra (Śakra) incessantly cast handfuls of sand into the Ganges (Bhāgīrathī), as he commenced building a bridge, thereby demonstrating [a point] to Yavakrīta.
