महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-135, verse-36

इन्द्र उवाच ।
बन्धिष्ये सेतुना गङ्गां सुखः पन्था भविष्यति ।
क्लिश्यते हि जनस्तात तरमाणः पुनः पुनः ॥३६॥
36. indra uvāca ,
bandhiṣye setunā gaṅgāṁ sukhaḥ panthā bhaviṣyati ,
kliśyate hi janastāta taramāṇaḥ punaḥ punaḥ.

bhaviṣyati kliśyate hi janaḥ tāta taramāṇaḥ punaḥ punaḥ
36. Indra said: 'I will bind the Gaṅgā with a dam, and then the way will be made easy. For, dear one, people are troubled by repeatedly crossing it.'
