महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-135, verse-22

इन्द्र उवाच ।
अमार्ग एष विप्रर्षे येन त्वं यातुमिच्छसि ।
किं विघातेन ते विप्र गच्छाधीहि गुरोर्मुखात् ॥२२॥
22. indra uvāca ,
amārga eṣa viprarṣe yena tvaṁ yātumicchasi ,
kiṁ vighātena te vipra gacchādhīhi gurormukhāt.
22. indraḥ uvāca amārgaḥ eṣaḥ viprarṣe yena tvam yātum
icchasi kim vighātena te vipra gaccha adhīhi guroḥ mukhāt
22. Indra spoke: "O sage among brāhmaṇas, this is not the correct path by which you wish to proceed. O brāhmaṇa, why cause an obstruction for yourself? Go and study from a teacher's mouth."
