महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-62, verse-44

दत्त्वान्नं विधिवद्राजन्विप्रेभ्यस्त्वमपि प्रभो ।
यथावदनुरूपेभ्यस्ततः स्वर्गमवाप्स्यसि ॥४४॥
44. dattvānnaṁ vidhivadrājanviprebhyastvamapi prabho ,
yathāvadanurūpebhyastataḥ svargamavāpsyasi.
44. dattvā annam vidhivat rājan viprebhyaḥ tvam api
prabho yathāvat anurūpebhyaḥ tataḥ svargam avāpsyasi
44. rājan prabho tvam api vidhivat yathāvat anurūpebhyaḥ
viprebhyaḥ annam dattvā tataḥ svargam avāpsyasi
44. O King, O Lord, having properly given food to worthy Brahmins, you too will then attain heaven.
