महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-62, verse-34

अन्नतः सर्वमेतद्धि यत्किंचित्स्थाणु जङ्गमम् ।
त्रिषु लोकेषु धर्मार्थमन्नं देयमतो बुधैः ॥३४॥
34. annataḥ sarvametaddhi yatkiṁcitsthāṇu jaṅgamam ,
triṣu lokeṣu dharmārthamannaṁ deyamato budhaiḥ.
34. annataḥ sarvam etat hi yat kiñcit sthāṇu jaṅgamam
| triṣu lokeṣu dharmārtham annam deyam ataḥ budhaiḥ
34. hi yat kiñcit sthāṇu jaṅgamam etat sarvam triṣu
lokeṣu annataḥ ataḥ budhaiḥ dharmārtham annam deyam
34. Indeed, all this, whatever is stationary or moving in the three worlds, arises from food. Therefore, the wise should give food for the sake of (natural law) dharma.
