महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-57, verse-32

यो ब्रह्मदेयां तु ददाति कन्यां भूमिप्रदानं च करोति विप्रे ।
ददाति चान्नं विधिवच्च यश्च स लोकमाप्नोति पुरंदरस्य ॥३२॥
32. yo brahmadeyāṁ tu dadāti kanyāṁ; bhūmipradānaṁ ca karoti vipre ,
dadāti cānnaṁ vidhivacca yaśca; sa lokamāpnoti puraṁdarasya.
32. yaḥ brahmadeyām tu dadāti kanyām
bhūmipradānam ca karoti vipre
dadāti ca annam vidhivat ca yaḥ
ca saḥ lokam āpnoti purandarasya
32. yaḥ tu kanyām brahmadeyām dadāti,
ca vipre bhūmipradānam karoti,
ca yaḥ ca annam vidhivat dadāti,
saḥ purandarasya lokam āpnoti
32. Whoever gives a maiden as a sacred gift (brahmadeya) and makes a gift of land to a brahmin, and whoever also gives food according to the prescribed rules — that person attains the world of Purandara (Indra).
